Warren Rose
WARREN ROSE was a contributing artist of Main Street Arts. He was a member of Martinez Arts Association and a life member of the International Freelance Photographers Organization (IFPO). His photographs have appeared in Nikon World, Outdoor California, San Jose Mercury News, Contra Costa Times, Martinez News Gazette, Martinez Tribune, The Bedford Gallery (Walnut Creek, CA) and the Martinez Gallery.
While a member of the Fremont (CA) Photographic Society, Warren was designated a “Photographic Artist” by the Central Coast Counties Camera Club Council (6C).
Self-taught, he improved his skills through attendance at workshops conducted by Carol Leigh (Nevada City, CA) and Tom Morse (Global Preservation Project on site locations in Bodie, CA, Page, AZ and Pt. Reyes, CA).
Master photographers Julianne Howe and Donna Martin (Fremont, CA), author/photographers Carol Polich and Melissa Groo added greatly to his knowledge of equipment, attitude, and patience required to be successful as a nature photographer. Books by Steve McCurry and Raghubir Singh were influential in developing his interest in travel and street photography.
A native of Ambler, Pennsylvania, Warren resided in Martinez, California and we miss Warren very much.
