I majored in art and graphic design at California State University, Long Beach and did graphic design, production management, editing and sales in the printing industry for 40 years. About 15 years ago I picked up my brushes again and began my second career as an oil painter. My main areas of focus are plein air and studio oil painting of landscapes, still lifes and charcoal / pastel drawings of the human figure. I’ve also enjoyed teaching basic drawing classes to my students at the Lynn House Gallery in Antioch and as a special artist in residence at the Happy Isles Nature Center in Yosemite National Park. |
