Watercolor artist, Samantha McNally studied Art at Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ, Ridgewood School of Art in Ridgewood, NJ and The School of Visual Arts in NYC. Samantha worked for 15 years as an embroidery designer in NYC’s garment district and then for another 15 years in California for Grateful Dead and then Metallica. Samantha McNally is a signature member of The California Watercolor Association (CWA).
Her paintings hang in the HQ Gallery in Benicia, Once Upon a Canvas Gallery in Benicia, Main Street Arts Gallery, Martinez and the Valley Art Gallery in Walnut Creek, CA.
Samantha served as the President of CWA from 2007 through 2010 and as Communications Director in 2011. Samantha was the CWA Plein Air Chairperson from 2012 to 2016. As a chairperson of the Benicia Paint Out Committee, she has helped run the Annual Benicia Plein Air Paint Out.
In May 2019 Samantha was the Juror for the Main Street Arts, Martinez, show, "Lookin Out My Backdoor". On September 22, 2019, Samantha was the Awards Judge at the Pleasanton Art League Plein Air Paint Out. She has done watercolor demos for Concord Arts Association, Alamo Danville Art Society, and Las Juntas Art Society aka East Bay Artist Guild.
Samantha is a webmaster for Art Associations, Galleries and artists and she teaches watercolor classes on Zoom.
