The California Watercolor Association January 5 through February 25, 2024 Awards Reception Saturday, January 13 from 4-7 PM
The California Watercolor Association is a prominent watermedia organization. CWA’s mission is to create, foster, and sustain artistic growth and interest in watermedia. These goals are accomplished through our community outreach programs, workshops, public exhibitions, and student activities. CWA members include professional and non-professional artists, teachers, and students with a compelling interest in painting.
Organized in 1967 under the name East Bay Watercolor Society, the group incorporated in 1975 as a non-profit organization. The name changed in 1996 to the California Watercolor Association. Today the tradition to meet, share and learn from other artists continues, as CWA brings opportunities and support to its members.
Main Street Arts is happy to host a CWA show for the first time. Main Street Arts members, Bonnie Fry and Samantha McNally juried the show. There were 84 entries and 33 paintings were chosen. Our front window and our guest wall will be filled with these beautiful CWA artist's watermedia paintings that you see in this slideshow. The awards judge was Pat Moseuk. CWA Director of Shows, Kathleen Stumpfel will present the awards at the reception: Saturday, January 13 from 4-7 PM. Come see who won!
