March 3 to May 1, 2022 - Reception March 12, 4-6pm I paint in oils and I paint a variety of subjects. My goal as an artist is to find man made and natural creations, see them intimately, paint them honestly and hope the resulting paintings will resonate with the viewer. I respect the beautiful places as well as battered places; the expansive oceanfront and the old, tired storefront. I am drawn to distant horizons and bends in the road—literally and figuratively—where you can’t see where the next turn will take you. I also enjoy painting still lifes that bring out the quirky personality of everyday objects and faces with deep individual attitudes. |
