Main Street Arts is featuring a group exhibition by local metal artists during July and August. The show highlights a variety of pieces ranging from sculptural and functional works to imaginative creations that demonstrate the versatility of the medium. The metal artists include Bronze Holbein, Brady Pisha, Luke Heimbigner and Steen Kjorlie.. Visitors can enjoy this unique art form that combines creativity, engineering, and skilled workmanship.
Luke Heimbigner
Luke makes sculpture using the forms of forgotten and discarded items. He was born in 1982 in Bozeman Montana. His grandfather may have hoped to make an engineer out of Luke by bringing him old lawnmower engines to take apart and rebuild; instead, it was Luke’s artistic imagination that was sparked by the functional beauty of those machines.

Nate Holbein AKA Bronze Holbein is a metal manipulator from Martinez, CA.
He has been summoning sculptures from the void since 2009, when he made his first steel sculpture at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo. After discovering his love for sculpture and welding, he began pursuing both extensively and has been up-cycling scrap metal into art ever since.

Steen Kjorlie
My sculptures are character studies with an open-ended stacked narrative structure. I like to use separated color planes along with graphic anatomical features to catch the viewers attention. The imagery is derived from hammy themes that amuse me at the time of construction. These scenarios range from the indulgence in dysfunction to the identification of stereotypes. I have spent the past few years exploring ' new age hippie culture' and various religious cults in order to develop my own systematic trance inducing ceremony.
