I've always felt that being an artist was my destiny, and would sit for hours drawing as a child. After college, I had a long and successful career in marketing while raising my two sons. I’ve since developed a robust art practice that includes abstract, figurative and narrative subject matter often inspired by my travels. Most of my representational work is semi-abstract as I like to leave a lot to the viewer’s imagination.

For me, the act of creating is about self-exploration along with the desire to connect with others on a deeper level. I want my work to spark an emotion from the viewer, perhaps inspire curiosity, awaken a memory from their life; or simply to delight them with the particular colors, values, shapes and texture that create the story of the painting.

I love being a part of the wonderful art community we have in the East Bay. I’m a board member of the Martinez Arts Association, a member of the Lamorinda Arts Alliance, Arts Benicia, and a past board member of the Concord Art Association.
